Hello friends! Soooooo I haven’t been here in awhile. The last time we “spoke” it was just before summer and just after my birthday. So many, drinks, books, and fun has been had since then.
Summer has been really good to us. I hope you have experienced moments, many of them!, of joy and celebration even while sweating! I think the whole of the United States experienced 100+ temps this year. Now we are officially in Autumn 2023! Cheers to all the pumpkins! :)
What’s the best thing you ate this summer? The best thing you drank? Hopefully it’s so hard to pick just one! There was a beautiful tempranillo rose in Paso-delicious. Also, surprisingly great wine was had in Phoenix when we visited during the hotest week in August-LOL!
This was also the summer of salads——no, really. I’ve been ordering salads a lot more at some of my favorite restaurants and instead of my standard cheeseburger & fries order when I’m at a new-to-me place, I’ve been trying their chicken, shrimp, but mostly raw fish salads, like ahi tuna or poke salad-OMG! Obsessed with these and am craving one as I write this.
Different Seasons
I’ve been in a different season of drinking lately.
It has been good/odd/different/frustrating/awesome/better.
Wishing all of us the power to carry out all of our good intentions.
Of all the drinking things, what I miss the most, right now at least, is enjoying a craft beer at home after work, on a weekend afternoon, while watching football-I miss drinking good beer at home! Not that I haven’t had a great craft beer while out and about since the end of May-I have-but like 95% less than I would normally have. And I haven’t purchased or drank any at home since May. Whew!
Any summer drinking stories you’d like to share in the comments?
Hello to the new people here! Thank YOU!
You’re taking a chance on reading something silly, unnecesary, odd, but hopefully it adds a few hints of delight in your day. Thank you for being here!
Cheers to Autumn!
