Today I’m announcing a brand new addition to my Substack publication: the Bookstore.Thriftstore.Bar subscriber chat.
Substack added this feature a few months ago and first it was just in the app which I haven’t used much but now it’s on the web too! Yay for old-school interfaces haha! #oldmillenial
A few of the publications I follow have enabled chat but only one of them seems to keep up with it often. I thought I’d just give it a try. Maybe it will be easier to post more Bookstore.Thrifstore.Bar related things if it’s just a short “chat.” Or maybe there will be my one lonely post in the chat, neglected for ages. I’ve posted my first thread asking where ya’ll would go on a real spring break.
My next thread will be….who knows!
*****To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens. Notifications are the worst, don’t turn them on. Sorry, substack.
****Not sure that you need to use the app for this, I can see other publications chats on the write hand side of the reader dashboard….
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
